There are assistant positions available for our sculpture & industrial design/build studio.

This opportunity is generally on a project to project basis, though there are many projects lined up. Flexible hours, weekends optional.

I offer participation in the design and production of public art installations, restaurant décor & fixture projects. You will get hands-on experience with metals, resins, glass, & wood and on-the-job use, safety, and technique training with lots of hand and power tools.

The right person will be enthusiastic, on-time, hard-working, creative, reliable, non-smoker, detail-oriented, adaptive, problem solving, self-motivated, list-makin'-being prepared kinda person.  You will need to be good at figuring out engineering challenges, be equipment maintenance inclined and familiar with a variety of hand tools.  Be quick to learn to use new ones safely and accurately. You must have the sensibilities of a sculptor and have good drawing ability. Getting dirty through making things must delight you.

Beneficial albeit not mandatory skills: MIG/TIG, machinist, weld finishing, plasma cutting, layout, computer design skills.
